About Me
My name is Brandon Ferrante and I'm an Audio Engineer, Producer, and Musician. I'm interested in Digital Signal Processing, Audio Programming, Acoustics, and Audio Machine Learning. I record, produce and mix pop music.
I'm currently pursing an M.S. in Music Engineering Technology from the University of Miami Frost School of Music. I'm also Graduate Teaching Assistant in Music Engineer Technology, where I'm a TA for MMI 502 "Digital Audio Theory". I'm responsible for creating presentations for lectures, grading homework, papers and tests, holding office hours, and creating and teaching the Lab section for undergraduate students.
I also hold a Bachelors degree in Sound Recording Technology from Syracuse University. I had two minors, one in Music Industry, and the other in Communications from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. While at SU, I was heavily involved in the local music scene.
Hi, I'm Brandon.
In Miami, I also work as a Technical Lead for Encore, a global live event production company that specializes in corporate conferences and conventions. I run audio, video, lighting, and projection for various size events, and build and strike entire sets for different venues. I am certified Dante Level 3 from Audinate, and am working towards my CTS and CTS-D.
In my undergrad, I was a Concert Director for University Union, SU's premier, student-run programming board. In this role, I was the lead on planning various annual concerts that we put on for Syracuse's student body. I corresponded with talent agents and artist managers for major acts, negotiated contracts, managed budgets, and oversaw the full marketing plan for the events.
I also worked as a Live Sound Engineer for SU's College of Visual & Performing Arts Recording Services. We had a portable rig that could support recording and sound reinforcement that we would set up, operate, and tear down after different gigs around campus. I mixed and mastered most of those recordings. Additionally, I was also an Audio Visual Technician for Event & Technical Services, a division of Student Affairs. I operated audio, video, lighting and projection equipment for a large variety of events across three venues on campus. I was promoted all the way on the sound, video, and lighting tracks.
Finally, I was the Head of Audio for Culture Cauldron, a media company started by SU students. We created content around local artists like music videos, live sessions (like Tiny Desk), and interviews. I was in charge of all on-sight recording, post production, and distribution.

I've recorded and produced dozens of tracks for a variety of artists. While in undergrad, I worked at the Belfer Recording Studio at Bird Library, Newhouse Studios at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, and Subcat Studios, located in downtown Syracuse, NY. I am skilled in recording vocals, acoustic and electric guitar, piano, bass, and drums. I've done overdubbing and live tracking sessions, and I'm efficient at running a Pro Tools session.
I myself primarily play keys and sing. I took piano and voice lessons for several years, and am also proficient on the bass and drums.
I also served as Music Director of Groovestand Acappella, a co-ed acappella group at SU. I arranged music for 4 part SATB, lead rehearsals, and produced our most recent album.
